The Six-Session
Guru Yoga ritual is an essential practice for those who have received an
initiation of either a Yoga Tantra or Anuttarayoga Tantra deity. Its main
purpose is to enable the practitioner to observe the Bodhisattva and Tantric
vows on a daily basis. The entire
ritual is presented in bilingual format, with Tibetan and English on facing pages. The
main body of the commentary is a word-by-word explanation of the meaning of the ritual,
together with oral commentary on every aspect of the practice. The text also contains
extensive commentary on all the Bodhisattva root and secondary vows, as well as all the
Tantric vows and pledges.
