topics of how to serve a spiritual teacher, the leisure and fortune of a human rebirth,
impermanence in the form of death, the suffering of the three lower realms, taking refuge
in the Triple Gem, and karma. These topics are explained in extensive detail, with
numerous quotations from classical Buddhist sources. This volume also includes detailed
footnotes, along with an extensive index and bibliography.
